What is SQL Explorer?

SQL Explorer is a fast, native, cross-platform desktop app for browsing and querying databases — SQL and NoSQL alike. Every database engine is a plugin, and the app is extended further through tool, MCP and extension plugins. It is free to use and source-available.

Supported engines

Four engines are built in (bundled with the app): SQL Server, MySQL / MariaDB, PostgreSQL and SQLite. Four more are first-party plugins you install on demand from the Plugin Store: MongoDB, Redis, DragonflyDB and Elasticsearch. The NoSQL engines focus on browsing and querying; DDL and user management are SQL-engine features.
